In the video, he and his wife sat side-by-side with clasped hands as Derrick admitted to cheating a multiple occasions in August and September of last year.
‘This chapter of our marriage is one that was proceeded by a marriage that I completely failed,’ he said.
‘The truth is… Derrick Jaxn was involved with other women outside of the marriage,’ he continued, referring to himself in the third person.
‘And by involved, I just want to be clear, I’m not talking about just causally kicking it, maybe a lunch or something like that. I’m taking about as serious as sex, to sexual flirtation and meeting up and that kind of thing,’ he went on.
He said that his conduct also included flirting with women, including those whom he’d been been sexually involved with in the past.

‘I’m also not a victim,’ he said. ‘Nobody made me do this. She didn’t make me or push me to do it… I made decisions, I made a series of decisions I’ve gotta account for’
‘All of it falls under the umbrella of inappropriate, affair, cheating, stepping out, definitely not in align with the vows that I took,’ he said.
He explained that he has already been accountable to God and his wife, but since his infidelity has been made public, he wants his followers to know that he doesn’t stand by what he did.
‘I cannot build a platform preaching certain things … and then in my real life live contrary to that,’ he said.
He believes that men and women should be held accountable for their actions, and knows he is know exception.
‘I’m also not a victim,’ he said. ‘Nobody made me do this. She didn’t make me or push me to do it… I made decisions, I made a series of decisions I’ve gotta account for.’
For now, the couple is working on ‘healing,’ and he said he understands if he has lost some followers and supporters.
Da’Naia, meanwhile, shared her own feelings about his behavior.
‘There is no justification for bringing other women into our marriage on any level, and it was unacceptable and it’s not something that I tolerate, or that we tolerate going forward,’ she said.
Called out: Backlash against Derrick quickly swelled on social media, with commenters calling him out as a hypocrite
‘When I found out about it, I left. I did not hesitate or waste time to do so. And I stayed gone … and stood firm on “I am not coming back.”
‘And I did not come back until I saw a shift and a change in his mentality and how he carried himself and how he presented himself in conversations that we were able to have, that we had never been able to have in 12 years of knowing each other.
She went on: ‘Today where I’m at is at peace and I’ll probably stand by his side, and I have no hesitation, no hurt, no shame about that, and it’s only because of the grace of God and the mercy of God.
‘We have already turned a new chapter in this story. We are continuing to move forward.
‘I forgave him and most importantly, God has first forgiven him. And I have also forgiven the others as well,’ she said.
Though Da’Naia is ready to forgive him, Twitter users are not.
‘Not Derrick Jaxn cheating on his wife for YEARS with his whole “healthy relationship” platform. Men will always amaze me,’ wrote one critic.
Others were also concerned by the confession video, suggesting that Da’Naia was not a completely willing participant
‘So y’all mean to tell me that whole time when Derrick Jaxn was making videos in his car, he was either bout to go cheat or just got done cheating?’ tweeted another.
‘Derrick Jaxn built his whole brand around being “one of the good guys” This is why any guy who refers to himself as ‘one of the good ones’ is a [red flag emojis],’ added a third.
‘Now that I think about it, It totally makes sense that Derrick Jaxn does every video sitting in his car. He know damn well he couldn’t be in the house lying like that in front of his wife,’ added one more.
‘Wild part about Derrick Jaxn is his online persona would tell his wife to leave him,’ noted yet another.
Others were also concerned by the confession video, suggesting that Da’Naia was not a completely willing participant.
‘Derrick Jaxn cheating is lame but did he have to make that video with the wife being held captive,’ wrote one.
