The “King of Staten Island” may be dethroned after he purchased a dog from a pet store.
Pete Davidson and his girlfriend, Chase Sui Wonders, purchased a cavapoo in May from New York City’s Citipups — and fans are livid he opted out of adopting a four-legged friend.
Page Six’s Instagram post promoting the story received an influx of comments disparaging the “Saturday Night Alum,” with one follower even calling the action “disgusting.”
“ADOPT DON’T SHOP bro 🤦🏽♀️,” wrote one follower.
“Buying a dog? Disgusting,” commented another.
“Buying a dog??? Gross! I didn’t even know that those sort of pet shops were still legal 😢,” said another.
“Stop supporting that terrible puppy mill!” added another follower.
A rep for Davidson didn’t immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
Davidson’s decision to take home another dog comes not long after his beloved pooch, Henry, passed away at just 2 years old.

“My mom, sister and I got Henry at the beginning of the pandemic and he saved our lives. Not sure id even be around without him,” Davidson, 29, wrote, adding that his family was left “broken.”
“We love you Henry,” he continued. “Thank you for making our lives fuller and reminding me what actually matters.”
TMZ reported that Davidson fell in love with his new dog after seeing him in a photo before visiting the pet store in-person. The pup he took home is a 2-and-a-half-month-old male who hadn’t yet been given a name.
Although Wonders, 27, went to the store with Davidson, it’s unclear if they’ll co-own the dog or if she was merely there for support.
Either way, they’ll have each other — and the cavapoo — to lick their wounds.
