A woman has been hired to watch porn for work – and she’s being paid £15 an hour.
Previously Bedbible.com put a call out looking for someone to watch porn as their part-time job.
The company are wanting to gain a better insight into the topic, as porn can take a lot of different forms and is one of the largest industries on the planet, with the industry making around £3.78billion a year.
Now they have decided on their candidate – and it’s 22-year-old Rebecca Dickson from Greenock, Scotland.
She was picked from more than 90,000 applicants as Bedbible’s Head of Porn Research.
Rebecca exclusively told Daily Star: “I love this new role as it is something different and not everyone gets to say they get paid to watch porn.
“My family couldn’t believe it at first but my friends were not shocked as nothing surprises them with me.”
It is now Rebecca’s job to watch the top 100 most viewed porn videos and take down a variety of statistics from the videos.
She will gather information on areas of focus such as sex positions, duration, number of orgasms, male vs. female ratio, hair colour distribution and language distribution.
The 22-year-old will be paid a total of £755 for 50 hours of watching porn.
“I applied because soon as I saw that a job like this existed I just had to apply,” she said.
“The thing I'm most looking forward to is that it’s a great job and project that opens the door for different conversations which is great alongside a good paycheck too.”
Rebecca added: “The application process was quite simple and straightforward forward I just attached my CV and filled in a few questions about myself and heard back a few weeks later.”
Jacob Bager, Co-founder at Bedbible, said she was the perfect fit for the role.
“Rebecca is the natural choice for us. She’s open-minded and motivated to be a part of the world's first in-depth porn statistics,” he explained.
“As she mentioned in her application she ‘loves venturing out and searching the different categories which is what this job requires.
“Furthermore, Rebecca’s answer to why she applied was she feels ‘like it is the ideal job and she ‘would be crazy not to apply’.
“This is a statement we can’t ignore and is what characterises the whole Bedbible organisation. We only work with people that are 100% passionate about the topic.”
