INSTEAD of reaching out for your trusty KitKat on your next work break, you may want to consider trying the chocolate brand's new KitKat Senses bars.
Nestle has this week launched KitKat Senses bars in salted caramel and hazelnut flavours, which include three bite-size chunks in each bar.
The new chocs feature three layers of KitKat wafer and chocolate as well as a layer of salted caramel infused with crunchy caramel flakes – in the salted caramel bar – or a layer of praline and crunchy hazelnut pieces in the hazelnut bar.
We can't find them listed on the big supermarkets' websites yet but KitKat says the recommended retail price is 85p – although shops can set their own prices.
Each bar weighs 30g and contains 160 calories in the hazelnut bar and 158 in the salted caramel version. In comparison, a 51g Mars bar contains 228 calories.
An adult man should eat around 2,500 calories a day, while a woman should consume 2,000, according to the NHS.
The move by KitKat follows on from the launch of boxes of KitKat Senses last February that are stuffed full of individually wrapped miniature versions of the treats.
These 200g boxes usually cost around £3 to £4 and contain salted caramel, hazelnut and double chocolate flavours.
But KitKat says it has no plans at present to launch a double chocolate Senses bar as the other two flavours are more popular.
Sascha Macchi, KitKat brand manager at Nestlé UK said: “With KitKat Senses ideal for sharing, we now want to offer these popular indulgent KitKat flavours as a single bar for an individual treat.”
KitKat also sells the classic two-fingers and four-finger bars, as well as Chunky bars and sharing bags called Bites.

KitKat's four finger Ruby chocolate bars will also be available in all retailers from this week after initially being exclusive to Tesco.
The pink chocolate comes from ruby cocoa beans, which have an intense berry-fruitiness taste, and don't require the addition of any flavour or colour.
There's also a pink KitKat ruby Easter egg, which Tesco is selling for £10.
