Julia Louis-Dreyfus revealed her love of the late royal’s iconic wedding gown when she appeared on yesterday’s episode of “Live with Kelly and Mark,” sharing that her own wedding dress was inspired by the princess.
The “Seinfeld” actress, 62, has been married to her actor and filmmaker husband, Brad Hall, 65, since 1987.
In the pic, the “Veep” star beams as she wears a puffed-sleeved white ballgown that bears a strong resemblance to the one Princess Diana wore for her July 1981 royal wedding to Prince Charles (now King Charles III).
“The times,” Ripa chimed in, with the “New Adventures of Old Christine” actress agreeing, “It’s the times.”
It’s not surprising that Louis-Dreyfus chose a Diana-esque gown for her nuptials, as copies flooded bridal shops around the world following the princess’ glamorous 1981 ceremony.

Along with her princess-inspired wedding dress, Louis-Dreyfus also talked about her podcast, “Wiser Than Me,” telling Ripa and Consuelos that she interviews successful older women to “glean their wisdom.”
One of these women is Diane von Furstenberg, 76, who told the actress on a recent episode that she finds “strength” in swimsuit selfies.
It turns out that along with Diana, Louis-Dreyfus was also inspired by the legendary fashion designer’s famous wrap dress, calling it “the first sort of fashiony thing that I wore that made me feel like ‘oh I don’t mind my body so much.’”
