Fathers have revealed some of the heartbreaking and surprising reasons why they feel like bad parents.

Social media users from around the world took to anonymous confessions app Whisper to share their stories of why they feel like they have failed their children.

One father said he felt like he wasn’t a good parent when he couldn’t make his sick child feel better, while another said he regretting leaving his family to find work in another town.

However some of the confessions were more shocking, with one father admitting he resented having to look after his baby because he would prefer to spend his time flirting on dating apps.
