Life isn’t a bed of roses for former “Bachelor” contestant Bri Springs.

The reality star, who came in third place on Matt James’ season, shared on Instagram Monday that she’s dealt with a few hardships after appearing on the ABC dating show.

“Life after the show has been full of wonderful surprises,” Springs, 25, wrote. “But it has also been mentally draining and there have been times and situations where I’ve felt defeated.”

Discussions around race have been at the forefront of this season after host Chris Harrison defended the show’s winner Rachael Kirkconnell, who faced accusations of racism, including partaking in an event that glorified the antebellum era.

Springs is half-Black and half-Persian. She, alongside other women from Season 25, spoke out against Harrison’s remarks.

While on the show, the California-based communications manager also opened up in an emotional conversation about quitting her dream job to appear on the show.

“When I think about my mom, being a single mom, she had to make a lot of sacrifices for me to have a better life than what she had, and so my work wasn’t just a job to me,” she told James. “It felt like a dream. But being here with you… makes it feel extremely worth it.”

After not winning James’ heart, she joked on Instagram that she was “trying to get my job back.”

On Monday, Springs thanked fans for their messages, saying their “kindness” and “support” have helped her along the way.

“Remember to check in with yourself from time to time to see what you need,” the Bachelor Nation favorite concluded. “I made a commitment to myself, to be honest, and stay true to who I am. And this means being present with the ones I love.”

On “The Bachelor” finale, James, 29, chose Kirkconnell, 24, to continue a relationship with after the show, but the couple split over race issues.
