In this week’s episode of ITVBe’s The Only Way Is Essex, Amy Childs hosted a lavish Bridgerton-inspired party for her co-stars, complete with voluminous hairstyles and busty corsets.

The party took place at a stunning manor house, and while Amy’s fellow cast members dressed up for the occasion, the hostess certainly stole the show.

Amy, 30, opted for a plunging full-length gown, a lace overcoat, and a ruffled collar. She paired the outfit with a pearl-encrusted bouffant hairstyle, finished with a sparkling tiara.

The star shared a snap of the finished look to her Instagram account, where fans appropriately dubbed her the “Queen of Essex,” in the comment section.

“‘Why settle for a Duke when you can have a Prince?’ — Queen Charlotte,” Amy wrote in her caption.

“I think I'll settle for the Duke thanks,” she joked, referring to the hunky Duke of Hastings on the Netflix period drama.

Amy tagged her glam team in the post, including celebrity hair stylist James Johnson, who created Amy’s larger-than-life ‘do.

If you’re wondering how James constructed the hairstyle, he shared the details to his Instagram stories – and it wasn’t an easy or glamorous-looking task.

The transformation required multiple packs of hair extensions, which were given a matted and voluminous effect using hairspray and a hair dryer.

In the short clip shared with his followers, James is seen coating the once-glossy hair extensions with Color Wow’s Cult Favorite Firm + Flexible Hairspray, £22 here, before pressing down on the hair extensions with the diffuser end of a hairdryer.

“#BTS of how to build up that #Bridgerton hair @amychild1990,” James captioned his story.

James then built up the matted hair to form Amy’s iconic debutant-esque hairstyle, leaving the front section of her hair out in soft curls.

The hair stylist reposted the finished look to his Instagram page, revealing that he only spent 45 minutes on the look.

“Thanks for trusting me to do this in 45 mins,” James wrote in the caption.

As expected, Amy’s choice of hairstyle wasn’t the most practical look of the evening. In a clip shared to TOWIE’s Instagram account, the star is seen telling her co-stars: “I've literally just hit it like five million times.”

While it may not be practical, we’re obsessed with Amy’s Bridgerton look.
