Aldi has joined forces with Camelot, the operators of the National Lottery, in an exciting new partnership. From tomorrow onwards, Lottery tickets will be available to buy at the Aldi checkout.
Aldi will be selling Lottery tickets in its 900 UK stores for the first time from tomorrow onwards.
The move comes thanks to the German retailer’s partnership with the National Lottery, which is based in Watford, Greater London.
Aldi shoppers will be able to buy tickets for the National Lottery’s full raft of draw-based games.
These include tickets for Thunderball, Lotto, and Lotto HotPicks.
Customers will also be able to buy Set for Life tickets, as well as Euromillions and Euromillions HotPicks.
This will give shoppers the opportunity to try their luck at the various Lottery draws that take place each week.
Euromillions draws occur each Tuesday and Friday evenings, while the Lotto and Thunderball draws take place on Wednesday and Saturday nights.
Aldi had already been selling Lottery tickets in some stores in the north of England, and following the successful trial, it now plans to sell them in every store in the UK.

The discount retailer hopes that National Lottery tickets will be available to customers in all UK stores by the end of June 2021.
Richard Thornton, Communications Director at Aldi, said: “Customers will now be able to enter The National Lottery while doing their weekly Aldi shop.
“We hope to hand out some winning numbers to lucky customers across the country,” Mr Thornton added.
Jenny Blogg, Retail Director at Camelot, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to now be working with Aldi.
“Making The National Lottery available in its stores has been a priority for us as we continue to make playing The National Lottery as convenient and easy as possible for people, wherever and however they shop.”
Ms Blogg continued: “We’re pleased that Aldi customers will now have a quick, easy and convenient way to purchase their favourite National Lottery games, while at the same time contributing to the £30 million that goes to National Lottery Good Causes each and every week.
“We certainly hope there’ll be plenty of lucky tickets bought in Aldi stores across the UK.”
From tomorrow onwards, customers in many UK stores will be able to pick up Lottery tickets at the same time as their food shop.
In other Aldi news, the supermarket is slashing the price of its vegetables to just 19p ahead of the Easter weekend.
Each week, Aldi unveils deals on fruit, vegetables and meat, known as their Super 6 deals.
This week, customers can pick up one kilo of carrots and 500g of parsnips for just 19p each.
Aldi has also lowered the price on white potatoes as well as cherry tomatoes and swede.
Additionally, salad items like cucumber can be picked up for just 29p and lettuce for just 79p.
