Embracing the millennial woman, the brands prioritise beautiful packaging, modern websites and on-point social media platforms that are filled with ideas for decorating your place. Whether it’s your own home or making your rented room feel special, you’ll be inspired to pick up a paint brush in no time.

But these cool, indie labels are by no means all style and no substance. Along with taking solid stances on sustainability and ensuring all paints are super high quality, they know what’s up when it comes to colour, too.   We fell for Pickleson Paint Co. as soon as we saw the brand’s gorgeous pink paint tins. Seriously, we didn’t care what was in them, we just wanted the tin as an ornament.

  Luckily, the paint kept inside is equally as covetable. Pickleson emphasises that its paints give great coverage, dry quickly, are non-toxic and the colours they stock are bang on trend.

  Lick launched the day the UK went into lockdown in 2020 – so was ready and waiting for all those would-be DIY pros to do up the homes they’d be spending the next few months looking at.

  Specialising in colourful patterned wallpaper to give your home some life, Lust added a selection of paint to its growing home decor range in January.

  Each of the 30 paint colours has been made to complement their array of original designs. Although the shades aren’t the most comprehensive selection on our list, you can guarantee something will catch your eye, whether that’s the perfect buttery shade of yellow or a rich terracotta red.
