Shops, brands and companies recall food products when there is a fault with the item. This makes it unsafe to consume as it could cause harm to some people. Here is a full list of products currently recalled by supermarkets.

Tesco

The supermarket is recalling a few food products due to them containing ingredients not mentioned on the label.

Tesco’s Cottage Pie baby food is being recalled because it may contain pieces of blue plastic.

The batches affected have a best before date of June 12, 2022.

Another product being recalled by the supermarket is the Eat Real white cheddar quinoa puffs.

All best before dates up to May 2022 are affected.

Tesco Free From Toffee and Vanilla Cones are also unsafe to eat because they contain milk, which is not mentioned on the packaging.

The batches affected have a best before date of July 2022.

Tesco is asking customers to return all products to their nearest store for a full refund.

Asda

Asda is recalling its Frozen Vegan and Mushroom Leek Pie because it contains milk not mentioned on the packaging.

The only best before date affected is July 6, 2021.

Another product recalled by the supermarket is the Eat Real Quinoa Puffs.

These are also sold in Tesco and contain milk not mentioned on the packaging.

Nutella B-ready biscuits are also being recalled because the ingredients are written in Polish, therefore people with allergies might be at risk of eating something that is unsafe for them.

All dates are affected.

Morrisons are asking customers to return the products to their nearest store, and no receipt is needed.

Spar

The Food Standards Agency often announces product recalls on its website.

Yesterday, it issued a new recall, stating that a product sold in Spar is unsafe to consume.

The shop’s Enjoy local Coconut Jam Delights is being recalled because it contains sulphites not mentioned on the label.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide or sulphites.

Spar is asking customers to return the product to stores for a full refund.
