Anyone else already feeling very autumnal?
End-of-summer anxiety is rife – especially considering we haven’t had much sunshine this year – but cooler, crisper days are coming.
And we all know that autumn wouldn’t be complete without one drink – the Pumpkin Spice Latte.
Fans of the seasonal beverage won’t have to wait much longer, as Starbucks has announced a return date for the drink.
Pumpkin Spice Latte season at the popular chain kicks off this week, on September 2, with prices for the limited-edition coffee starting from £3.55.
For those not clued-up, the fan favourite is made up of espresso, steamed milk and a mix of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.
However, there’s an extra special twist this year.
For the first time, coffee lovers will be able to customise their Pumpkin Spice Latte with Starbucks Original Nut Blend, for a smooth caffeinated pick-me-up. Or they can try a cool option with a PSL Frappuccino.
The chain also has some new menu items landing this week, such as the No’Meatball Marinara Wrap – made up of plant-based meatballs, a marinara sauce, a coconut oil alternative to smoked cheese and baby kale.
There’s also the new brie, butternut and chutney focaccia as well as the mac and cheese with kale and peas – made with a three-cheese sauce.
On the sweet treat side of things, customers can get their hands on new s’mores brownie blondies and almond croissants.
Vegan Pumpkin Spice cookies – topped with pumpkin seeds and cranberries – will also be on the menu.
To pick up these autumnal goodies just head in store later this week. Alternatively, if you’d rather get the treats delivered straight to your door, orders can be made via Uber Eats and Just Eat.
Elsewhere in the world of food and drink, people are are making Biscoff Little Moons-style mochi and Selfridges has launched an immersive roastery experience.
