It may only be August but we have to admit: our hearts are already 100 percent in fall mode. We’ve stocked up on Yankee Candle’s new fall scents, our online shopping carts are loaded with sweaters, and we’re chomping at the bit waiting for the Hocus Pocus sequel to drop at the end of September (and yes, we may have gotten the Hocus Pocus tarot deck to pass the time while we wait). But…it’s still 90 degrees. That means no sweaters, no throw blankets, and most tragically, no seasonal baking. Well, guess what? Heatwave after heatwave might have made you think otherwise, but fall is on its way, and we have proof: Costco’s Pumpkin Streusel Muffins are back, witches.

We don’t know if it’s just coincidence, or if our collective yearning for cooler temps somehow conjured these out of thin air, but the return of Costco’s Pumpkin Streusel Muffins couldn’t have come at a better time. We first heard of their return from Instagram account CostcoHotFinds, who spotted them at their Costco. Costco’s muffins are an enchantingly great deal, too — you can get two six packs for $8.99, and the muffins boast a generous size. That’s reason enough to sign up for a Costco membership, in our opinion.
These moist pumpkin muffins are topped with a buttery, crunchy, cinnamon-infused streusel topping. They’re really delicious with coffee, toasted and buttered, or eaten right out of the package in the car on your way home from the store. Did we mention that muffins freeze really well? It’s worth stocking up on this limited-time Costco bakery treat.
It might technically still be August, and there might be more than a month of summer ahead. But take a bite of a Costco Pumpkin Streusel Muffin while sitting in the air conditioning and listening to Haunted House Sounds Volume 2 on the record player, and you might just swear that it’s finally fall.
