Greggs is welcoming back one of its “iconic menu items”, much to the “excitement” of fans. The sausage, bean and cheese melt is making its grand return to stores across the nation, but when can you get your hands on one?
Greggs teased the return of the sausage, bean and cheese melt on Twitter earlier this week, with fans showing their “excitement” in response.Twitter user @rebeccarosecook commented: “PLEASE LORD BE THE SAUSAGE AND BEAN MELT.” [SIC]
A second user, @emilyendeavours wrote: “I THINK THE SAUSAGE AND BEAN MELT IS COMING BACK!!!” [SIC]
Even Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall got involved with the conversation.
She said: “This better be the sausage bean cheese melt or I’m guna kick off hun.” [SIC]
The good news is, all of the guesses were correct and Greggs confirmed on Thursday that the much-loved melt is back.
What is in the sausage, bean and cheese melt?
According to Greggs, the melt is “bursting with delectable baked beans, our sausage meatballs, and gloriously gooey melted cheese.”
Each sausage, bean and cheese melt has 453 calories per serving.

When can you purchase the sausage, bean and cheese melt from Greggs?
The good news for fans is that the sausage, bean and cheese melt is available in Greggs stores from today – January 13, 2022.
The menu item stopped being sold for a period of time due to supply chain issues.
At the time, the high-street bakery chain issued an apology to fans on Twitter stating: “We’re very sorry our sausage, bean and cheese melts are unavailable.”
Where can you purchase the sausage, bean and cheese melt?
The sausage, bean and cheese melt is available to purchase from all Greggs stores across the country.
Greggs currently has over 2,100 shops nationwide.
The menu item can also be purchased from online delivery services such as Just Eat.
Using the app, customers can pre-order their sausage, bean and cheese melt and collect it in-store.
How much is the sausage, bean and cheese melt?
The sausage, bean and cheese melt is available for £1.65.
The price of the melt remains the same regardless of whether it is purchased in-store, via the click and collect app or using a delivery service such as Just Eat.
However, it is important to note delivery services may issue an additional service charge.
