Summer may be over, but ice cream can be enjoyed all year round.
And over the past few years brands have been working hard to expand their plant-based offerings.
Foodie favourite Ben & Jerry’s is one company that has been venturing into the world of vegan ice cream and their latest product is bound to satisfy anyone with a sweet tooth.
Ahead of World Vegan Month this November, the ice cream giant has unveiled a brand new flavour – non-dairy salted caramel brownie.
Each tub features fudge brownie pieces buried amongst caramel non-dairy ice cream – and is finished off with a swirl of salted caramel.
The new flavour will be available in stores nationwide next month, coming in at £5.49 – although it looks like Ocado is already selling the sweet treat online.
If this new arrival doesn’t tickle your fancy, Ben & Jerry’s has plenty more vegan options to sample instead.
There’s the ‘Change the Whirled’ – which consists of a sunflower butter base, caramel-flavoured ice cream packed with fudge chips, graham crackers and chocolate cookie swirls.
Or ‘Cookies on Cookie Dough’ – a plant-based twist on the classic flavour with caramel non-dairy ice cream and cookie swirls, plus vegan cookie dough and chocolate chunks.
There’s also ‘Save Our Swirled Now’ – made with coconut-flavoured ice cream, caramel, chocolate chunks and a cookie swirl.
For those who prefer more savoury treats, Quorn has just released a vegan takeaway range – consisting of burgers, wings and strips.
Likewise, Greggs has unveiled its new vegan festive bake – which features Quorn pieces and a vegan bacon crumb, as well as dairy-free pastry.
So we’re truly spoilt for choice when it comes to plant-based goodies at the moment.
