After launching its own versions of McDonald’s products, including the Big Stack Burger and the Chicken McNuggets, Aldi has introduced more dupes to what it calls its “fakeaway” range. This time, the budget supermarket has copied British bakery favourite Greggs.
Earlier this week, Aldi launched a burger and chicken nuggets in cardboard boxes that looked exactly like McDonalds’ fast food versions.
Yesterday, the German food retailer introduced other fakeaway items to its range.
The two pastries are duped versions of Greggs’ iconic bakes and come in two different flavours.
These are the Sausage & Bean Melt and the Cheese & Onion Bake.

These bakes are two of Greggs’ most popular items, and now fans of the pastry treats can get them for even cheaper at Aldi.
Aldi’s savoury pastries come in a pack of two and cost only 85p.
Meanwhile, Greggs’ bakes range from £1.50 to £1.60 each.
That means that one bake is over a £1 cheaper at Aldi than it is at Greggs.

The Sausage & Bean Melt is bursting with beans, juicy pork sausages, and melted cheese, while the Cheese & Onion Bake features sautéed onions and mature cheddar cheese.
The products can be bought frozen, and all shoppers need to do is to put them in the oven for 25 minutes to achieve a glorious golden crust.
Just like the bakes at Greggs, the pastries can be eaten on their own as a lunchtime snack or with other foods as an evening meal.
Aldi is launching the new bakes after the success of its Bacon & Cheese Wrap.
Costing £1.39, the wrap landed on Aldi shelves last October.
After quickly selling out, it was reintroduced to stores in March this year.
The Greggs dupes also come just days after Aldi launched its McDonald’s-inspired products.
After Aldi’s success with its 75p fish burgers, which customers said tasted like McDonald’s Filet-o-Fish, the retailer introduced three more food products to its range.
The three products to launch this week were the Big Stack Burger, Chicken Nuggets, and Hash Browns.
Taking to the Aldi Shoppers UK Facebook page, customers raved about the McDonald’s look-alikes.
One person said: “I want these in my life.”
Another wrote: “Ooo I can’t wait to try these!”
A third wrote: “These look insane and if the fish burger is anything to go by, they’re going to taste real good.”
