A MONEY-SAVING parent has been praised for sharing how to make children's sunscreen cheaper just in time for the sunnier months ahead.
Although an essential all-year around, sunscreen can typically be quite pricey, especially when designed for children.
One of the most popular picks amongst parents is Suncare Roll-On by Soltan Kids, which retails for £3.50 at Boots – whilst a similar product by Nivea is a fiver.
But rather than having to fork out for a new one when running low, one budgeting mum, Bethanne, has shared a nifty hack.
''Did you know you can refill these sun cream roll on pots!
''I prefer applying the suncream with them but don't want to be buying loads of them throughout the summer,'' the savvy parent explained on TikTok.

According to Bethanne, better known to her 91.6k fans as @budgetingmum, you can easily pop off the rolling ball from the container.
This will allow you to pour in more sunscreen, saving you heaps of money in the long run and also helping the environment.
Despite many believing getting the ball back in would be quite challenging, Bethanne insisted it wasn't as difficult.
''That bit's much easier than getting it out,'' she chuckled in the comments under the video.

Recently, parenting guru Kirsty Ketley shared a short demonstration on how to apply sunscreen to your kids.
Kirsty, who regularly provides useful tips to fellow parents on her website, said: ''For babies over six months, sit them facing away from you between your legs."
She explained that you should first begin by taking a small dollop of sunscreen and apply it to the nose, followed by the cheeks and then spread the cream up to the ears and forehead.
What factor sunscreen should I use?
As summer gets nearer, the UV radiation becomes only stronger and we need even more protection from sunrays than throughout the rest of the year.
This means it's very important to check your sunscreen bottles to find out what protection they provide – the NHS recommends a minimum of 4-star UVA.
The label should also have a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 30 to protect against the strong UVB light.

However, people shouldn't rely only on sunscreen to stay safe – during the hottest parts of the day around the afternoon, it's also recommended to stay in the shade and wear suitable clothing.
Kirsty's advice is specifically for offsprings aged six months and up, but babies younger than this should be kept out of the sun altogether.
