Any buzz surrounding Prada has been focused on its collaborative efforts as of late, yet even its partnership with adidas (that produced the A+P LUNA ROSSA 21 among other sneakers) failed to reach astronomical levels of hype. Now, Prada’s Linea Rossa line looks to revive some of the label’s street cred in the form of its latest sneaker: the Collision.
Officially dubbed the Collision Technical Fabric sneaker, this pair looks as if Prada Linea Rossa did its own take on the Nike Air Max 95. The parallels are evident when looking at the Collision’s sole unit, which features a triple AIR set-up at the toe, forefoot, and heel that provides cushioning at pivotal points along the footbed. As the shoe extends from the toe to the heel, the AIR bags grow in size and the latter piece even sports Linea Rossa red tooling inside.
At the rear, you’ll find a red Prada tab that wraps underneath the shoe and onto the well-treaded outsole. The shoe itself is made from a technical fabric fitted with 3D embossed and debossed details that give the shoe an even more futuristic aesthetic, highlighting areas such as the toe box and eyestay placket, where alongside the latter mentioned, you’ll find tubular laces.
Signature Prada branding on the tongue, lateral mid-panel and insole round out the Collision’s design. Take a look at the Prada Linea Rossa Collision Technical Fabric sneaker in the gallery above in black, white, and “Steel Gray,” and purchase all three colorways on Prada’s website now. The sneaker costs $950 USD.
