A MONEY-SAVING mum-to-be has shared how she organised her gender reveal party spending just £35 after being quoted almost £500.
When parent-to-be, Ellie Hope Morgan, from the UK, was planning the big celebrations with her fiancée, the couple was quoted £450 for decorations alone.
Not willing to spend £100, let alone over £400, Ellie and her man, Dexter, then took matters in their own hands and decided to see how they could slash the costs.
After a little bit of shopping both online and in various stores, such as Home Bargains, the pregnant duo created the ultimate background and set of decorations for the event.
According to Ellie, they have nabbed a range of various balloons both in baby pink and sky blue from Shein and AliExpress.
The total cost of these, she revealed in her post, came to around £20.

Meanwhile, the four boxes that spelled out 'BABY' were purchased for a mere £3.99 from the retailer Home Bargains.
Ellie and Dexter were also keen to have frames for their balloons – these the couple found whilst browsing on Shein for £4 each.
''Boy girl backdrop was a old door my partner cut and I painted,'' the crafty mum added on Facebook, where the post was shared on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group.
The wooden palette didn't cost the parents-to-be a penny, as they got it free of charge and then gave it a fresh look with some paint.

Adding all the expenses together, Ellie reckoned the total came to somewhere between £30 and £35, meaning she had saved over £400 from the initial quotation.
