A WOMAN has revealed that she wanted to get her lips tattooed a pretty colour, but it went totally wrong.
Beauty fan Shanelle, from Canada, explained that she got lip blushing – which is also known as Lip Tattoo or Permanent Lipstick.
This treatment is a cosmetic procedure that uses a machine similar to a tattoo gun to implant colour pigment (of the client's choice) into the dermis of the lips, resulting in fuller and more defined looking lips.
But unfortunately for Shanelle, she didn’t realise that her lips would be massively swollen after the appointment.
Shanelle took to social media to show off her lips after the procedure, leaving many in hysterics.
Many thought that as a result of her bright, swollen pout, she looked similar to a Flappy Bird character.

At the start of her clip, we saw Shanelle with numbing cream on her pout, as she prepared for the beauty treatment.
Seconds later, we saw her having the lip blush treatment done.
Shortly after, Shanelle then shared clips of her pout after the procedure – her lips were incredibly swollen and red and looked very sore.
She said: “When you do a lip blush but your lips swell right away.”

Shanelle later confirmed that she thinks her lips were so badly swollen because: “I had drunk alcohol the day before plus a coffee before going there.”
Thankfully, after this, she claimed: “It’s back to normal.”
Shanelle’s TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @shanelleoxx, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 49,500 views.
It has 1,244 likes, 85 comments, 21 saves and 94 shares.
Social media users were stunned at Shanelle’s lips and were eager to reflect this in the comments.
One person said: “How long did the swelling last?? Just got my lip blushed and SAME” to which Shanelle replied “2 days.”
Another added: “Oh no.”
A third commented: “No wayyyy.”
Meanwhile, one user shared: “Omggg Flappy Birds.”
