A WOMAN who thought she had an ear infection for three months was stunned when she found out what was causing her pain.
Lexi Mahon took to TikTok to share her story, posting a video which began with her in a hospital bed with a tissue to her ear.
"POV: thought I had an ear infection… for three months,"she wrote over the clip.
She captioned the video: "Bought one of those handy dandy ear cameras, look what I found."
The video then showed the inside of Lexi's ear canal, as she found a gold earring butterfly.
She was then seen back in the hospital, as a doctor entered her ear with a special tool to remove the butterfly.
