A DIY fanatic has revealed how she gave her dull laminate floor a new look with black glitter paint – but people on social media are not impressed.
Transforming your home can be an expensive project – but Jillian Striebich, from the US, managed to complete a makeover with one layer of sparkly paint.
According to the craft fan, her previous flooring was beige wooden laminate – but to zhuzh it, the mum-of-three nabbed a can of black paint with loads of glitter she had oreded from Amazon.
''It's 500g – when we mixed the paint, we probably used half of this bag and one gallon of paint.''
Jillian also shared the process and the results on TikTok, showing how she paired the black glitter with the bright red walls that also had not escaped the sparkly element.
But whilst Jillian may be pleased with the outcome of the room, people on social media were not so sure about the glitter aspect.

Close to 13k viewers of the now-viral video flocked to comments, where many were in total disbelief and shared their thoughts on the new flooring.
Some, for instance, reckoned the floor didn't even need re-doing in the first place.
One said: ''Those original floors are so pretty tho…''
Meanwhile, others were convinced maintaining the glittery floors will be a ''nightmare''.

Someone else agreed, adding: ''I love it all the black but you see like everything on it especially dust.''

''so how do you clean the floor after that. i just feel like every time i would do a wipe so much glitter will come off,'' another was baffled.
After being slammed and going viral on TikTok, the DIY lover hit back at the meanies – and even proved them wrong.
One of the main reasons the mum was so desperate to change the flooring was the bright yellow rug that had been painting on the wood.
Although she did realised it had probably been ''made with love'', the unusual artistic feature was simply not their ''style''.
As most people were concerned about the texture, Jillian reassured everyone the floor was ''smooth to the touch'' – and no matter how hard she rubbed the paint, the glitter was not coming off.
The best part? She was now also able to easily spot any lost toys – or dirt – on the floor in just seconds.
