A FITNESS fan has recounted her embarrassing moment in the gym sauna where she left feeling way out of place.
She claimed the experience was so mortifying that she may have to go into hiding and doesn't want to show her face in public again.
Theresa Rowley (@littledrownedrat) filmed herself recounting the story in a video on TikTok.
"Well, I can never show my face in this town again," she said. "Something terrible has happened."
She said that she often takes part in fitness classes and keeps an active lifestyle.
One of her friends suggested that she start using a sauna for post-workout recovery.
"My guy friend told me that I should start doing the sauna after my workouts to detox all the toxins out of my body.
"I said: 'You're a toxin. I wish I could detox you right out of my life after this experience.'
"So I said: 'OK well, what do people wear in the sauna? Are we naked?' And he said: 'No, not naked, but definitely, like, skivvies down to your skivvies,'" she said.
She described the sauna as so warm and comfortable that she fell asleep wearing only her underwear and no bra.

When she woke up, she was shocked to find that five women had entered the sauna with her.
"I'm surrounded by five women, fully clothed. Lululemon as far as the eye can see. Didn't hear a single one of them come in.
"My legs fall open when I sleep because I've got weak hips. One strip of ugly undie cloth separating me from them, them from the ether.
"Nobody would look me in the eye. I got out of there as fast as I could, which is pretty fast, because I'm a cardio queen," she said.
The video drew in many viewers who shared their thoughts in the comment section.
"And that is how you establish dominance in the sauna," one wrote.
"Am I the only one that thinks it’s more odd to be fully clothed in a sauna?" another added.
