Arguably one of the most iconic movie franchises to-date, Fast and the Furious is being highlighted in 2021 via a collaborative apparel collection with XLARGE. This newly formed partnership is announced hot off the heels of the LA-based imprint’s project with Sonic the Hedgehog.
Incorporated in this range are simple black and white hoodies, pocket tees, and long sleeved shirts, all of which have been graced with minimal branded embellishments from both parties as well as actual scenes from various Fast and the Furious films. On the hooded pieces, you’ll find Dom Toretto — who was played by Vin Diesel — pictured in full throttle race mode. The tees that have front pockets are emblazoned with XLARGE branding skewed to the left chest, and print out Suki from 2 Fast 2 Furious on the back. Additional long sleeved offerings pander towards the Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift movie by featuring the scene in which Twinkie and Sean Boswell — acted out by Bow Wow and Lucas Black — first view of his Hulk-inspired Volkswagen van, as well as the clip from the beginning of Sean’s first race against the at-the-time drift king.
Prices for the garments are as follows: ¥12,000 (approx. $116 USD) for the hoodies, ¥ 6,500 (approx. $63 USD) for the pocket tees and ¥6,000 for the other long sleeve shirts (approx. $58 USD). The capsule will launch on Saturday, January 23rd, 2021 via XLARGE/X-girl stores in Japan and the ZOZOTOWN online shop.
