It’s been over a year since Pokémon Scarlet and Violet released for the Nintendo Switch. While met with mixed reception, the game continues to evolve as its The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC began with Part 1: The Teal Mask back in September. As the year comes to an end, it’s finally time for Part 2: The Indigo Disk to release. Ahead of the launch next week, The Pokémon Company has shared its final trailer.
Clocking in at just over four minutes, the video highlights much of what trainers can expect from the expansion. Between new additions to the familiar Paldea region and exploring the remote Blueberry Academy, there looks to be a range of new content that goes far beyond new Pokémon being introduced and re-introduced. At one point in the trailer, the gym leaders of the Paldea region arrive at Blueberry Academy, with the trainer trading with Iono for her Magnemite. As expected, many of the series’ most popular legendary Pokémon will be available to catch as well.
The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC continues with Part 2: The Indigo Disk releasing on December 14 for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet on the Nintendo Switch. The DLC bundle is available now at a price of $35 USD with Part 1: The Teal Mask playable already. In addition to this, various in-game distributions and events are taking place now, including opportunities to obtain Darkrai, a Shiny Lucario and Tera Raid Battles with Dialga and Palkia, all taking place ahead of a Master Ball distribution next week.
