New Balance‘s famed Flimby factory in England has produced a vivid new take on the 1500. Boasting pops of bright yellow across its elegant gray and black upper, this new style injects a dose of vibrance into classic NB sensibility, making for a look that’s simultaneously contemporary and customary.
Uppers are composed almost entirely of soft suede, perforated on the toebox and solid across the mudguard, quarter and heel. Black leather makes its presence felt around the collar, and signature pops of yellow appear around the toebox and between the quarter/mudguard. Most of the branding is done up in yellow as well: the midfoot combines yellow and black for a textured look, while hits on the lateral side, top of the heel and the tongue all take on a maize tone. Gray laces bring the entire assemblage together, and down below white, gray and black meet on the ENCAP midsole to round off the look.
This made in the UK New Balance 1500 is available now via retailers like 43einhalb, and is priced at €190 EUR (approximately $223 USD).
