Time to dust off your sparkly leotard and put on your dancing shoes as the Strictly Come Dancing 2023 cast reveal gets underway.

Amanda Abbington has been named the first contestant competing in this year’s competition, which is expected to start in September.

The rest of the celebrities joining the cast are expected to come in thick and fast over the next few days, with Rylan Clark and Josie Gibson rumoured to cha-cha their way into this year’s competition.

Last year saw Hamza Yassin take home the crown with professional dance partner Jowita Przystal.
