Australian label Song for the Mute is marking its first foray into the world of beauty with its inaugural fragrance and candle scent.
The co-ed brand — known for its dismantled approach to elevated streetwear with a futuristic identity — crafts its debut aroma, “SCENT 001 – RAIN.” Delivered as a candle and solid perfume, the fragrance perfectly reflects Song for the Mute’s unique design ethos.
The hand-blended offering uses plant extract from Australia’s Kangaroo Valley to find a middle ground between raw nature and advanced technology. Evoking the scent of its Sydney store, notes of blooming florals and weeds lead the olfactory experience. Earthy moss underpinnings accompany clean mineral and resin notes. Finally, subtle touches of pine needles, petrichor, and desert flowers complete the fragrance like a walk through the woods.
