If there’s one thing to point out about how sacai has approached this early half of 2023, it’s the fact that it has made collaborations one of its biggest priorities. Chitose Abe and her team have ushered in projects with the likes of Nike, WTAPS and more, and now they’ve introduced their latest initiative alongside Ghetto Gastro.
Together, the Japanese luxury fashion imprint and the Bronx-born culinary collective have constructed a new range of apparel items. The capsule features a pullover shirt, pants and an apron, all of which have been completely covered in the former’s signature black bandana graphic. The shirt comes detailed with a zipper that is situated on the left chest while the apron features a waist wrap so you can adjust it accordingly when chef-ing up your favorite meals in the kitchen. The pieces were originally intended to be the uniforms for the sacai x Ghetto Gastro‘s pop-up “sacai GASTRO” in December 2022 at Tokyo Burnside – their experimental restaurant space.
You can check out a closer look at the pieces in the lookbook above and note that they’ll be releasing on Friday, April 28 via sacai and Ghetto Gastro‘s sites.
In other news, check out sacai’s recent team-up with artist Eric Haze.
