Continuing to carve out a name for itself in the richly assorted drinks market, Pegasus Distillerie is set to launch its sustainable range of spirits in the US.
Founded in 2020 by Maxime Giradin, the Burgundy-based brand has roots in a long line of winemakers, however, breaking from tradition, it serves up a premium selection of gins, vodkas and flavored liqueurs. Pegasus Distillerie finds its niche by combining the classic art of winemaking with new sustainable practices – informed by the natural backdrop of its distillery – to craft drinks that honor nature and bottle local ingredients in a pure form.
For its debut in the US, the brand presents an initial line of spirits with a newly-introduced vodka heroing the collection. Capturing the essence of the brand’s legacy, the small-batch vodka uses wheat and barley grown in a 50km radius of its production base and refines the ingredients through double ageing in terracotta amphoras. It arrives in a cylindrical bottle tinted in deep blue hues reminiscent of the night sky.
Joining the collection is a citrusy gin that infuses fruits from Côte d’Azur for a light yet juicy freshness. Along with the juniper berry base, each element that makes up the gin is 100% organic and employs the best of Pegasus Distillarie’s sustainable processes. To finish, the brand serves up another citrus liqueur that’s contrastingly bolder in its zesty profile. Similar to the gin, it comes in an elegant perfume-shaped bottle and also models a diamond-patterned glass inspired by Versailles’ Hall of Mirrors.
To celebrate the introduction of the spirits in the US, Pegasus Distillerie teams up with music artist Ry X who takes to the Sahara Desert to film an accompanying campaign video. Traversing the landscape to the sounds of his unreleased track “Moths,” the visuals present a meditative journey where the three products glisten in the sun like jewels in the sand. Take a closer look at “Night Odyssey” in the video below.
The spirits mentioned above will be available in New York, Florida, Texas and California from September with prices starting at $35 USD. Head to Pegasus Distillerie’s Instagram page to find out more information on the campaign.
