Jordan Brand certainly puts in a strong effort to deliver fresh new colorways to the market, but one can argue that the sneaker community certainly prefers when it retros its iconic styles. A plethora of OG iterations are in preparation to make their return to the shelves this Summer, one of which is the Air Jordan 3 “Fire Red.” Early photos of the kicks popped up earlier this year, but we now have a detailed look at its official imagery.
This installment certainly ranks amongst one of Jordan’s most classic makeups as it was one of the original four AJ 3 colorways when he first debuted the model in 1988. Retro launches of the pair also came in 2007 and 2013, but this forthcoming version sports a subtle-yet-striking detail that many sneakerheads will be clapping their hands for. Instead of the traditional Jumpman logo that’s usually planted onto the heels, Jordan Brand has opted to bring back the more favored Nike Air heel branding. Every other component of the sneakers from the white leather uppers to the cement-printed overlays to the “Fire Red” accents that outfit the tongues logos, collars, heel branding and midsole molds are kept intact.
Early reports have these scheduled to launch on September 10, but this has to be confirmed by Nike still.
In case you missed it, detailed shots of the Air Jordan 1 High “Chenille” have been released.
