The month of February is going to be rich with new retro releases from Jordan Brand, and of the more highly-anticipated iterations that will be inserting itself into the market is the Air Jordan 3 “Cardinal Red.” This makeup first surfaced onto our radar back in December 2021, but Nike has finally released its official images.
The color schemes that are present on this specific installment are inspired by the classic Air Jordan 7 “Cardinal” — a rendition that last saw a retro release in 2011. Standard qualities of AJ 3 “Cardinal Red” are found through the tumbled leather uppers that are done up in a pure white hue along with the overlays that are treated with Jordan Brand’s signature cement grey and black color-blocking. Its titular tone shows face atop the liners, as well as the lace loops and midsoles, the latter of which come with glossy finishes. “Light Curry” hits liven up the shoes atop the Jumpman logos on the tongues and open holes placed near the bottom of the throat.
Sizes for the entire family are expected to release come February 24 via SNKRS and other retailers. Peep the gallery above to check out an in-depth look.
