Uniting a host of international talent, Ghana’s first-ever skate park is set to receive an injection of funding by way of Daily Paper‘s multi-pronged collaborative effort. Freedom Skate Park’s construction will be partially paid for by limited edition merch co-designed by the Amsterdam-based brand and like-minded creatives at Off-White™ and Surf Ghana.
Shot at the Tetteh Quashie Cocoa Farm in Mampon, Ghana, the joint effort boasts an assortment of accessible graphic goods that blend the design ethos of each participant. Daily Paper and Off-White™’s thematic design updates its signature “X” branding and ghostly logo with an organic touch, iterating “PRODUCT OF GHANA” verbiage in homage to Ghana’s longstanding cocoa harvesting tradition. Appropriately, the tee is realized in “Decadent Chocolate” or classic white.
Meanwhile, Daily Paper and Surf Ghana’s selection offers a larger variety of goods, including a commemorative long-sleeved shirt, T-shirt and bucket hat that are all emblazoned with matching text and imagery. Bold-faced “FREDDOM AND SKATE” text makes no bones about the project’s intent as a co-branded graphic unites the Ghana flag with Daily Paper’s logo to reinforce the collaborative aesthetic.
Expect the charitable collaboration to hit Daily Paper’s website on January 15. The Surf Ghana goods retail from $77 USD to $99 USD while the Off-White™ shirts weigh in at $165 USD. Keep up with the project at Freedom Skate Park’s website.
Most recently, Off-White™ founder Virgil Abloh teased his next line-up of collaborative Nike sneakers.
