Rosie O’Donnell has shared a positive update on Madonna’s health after the singer was hospitalised with an infection.
The Like A Virgin singer was taken to hospital earlier this month and admitted to an intensive care unit after being found unresponsive.
Reps for the music icon, 64, confirmed she had contracted a ‘serious bacterial infection’ but that she was expected to make a full recovery.
It was later revealed that the popstar had been released from hospital.
Her longtime friend Rosie, 61, has now offered another update on Madonna’s health and told one concerned Instagram follower this week: ‘She is recovering at home – she is very strong in general.’
When another enquired about the singer, Rosie insisted: ‘She’s good,’ alongside a throwback photo of the popstar.

Madonna’s health scare came as she was rehearsing for her Celebration tour to mark the 40th anniversary of her music career, and was due to hit the road in a matter of weeks.
After news broke of her hospitalisation, Rosie told her social media followers at the time: ‘God bless her I hope she’s ok, I don’t care about the tour.’
It’s thought Madonna has been surrounded by her eldest daughter Lourdes, 26, as well as her other children including sons Rocco, 22, and David Banda, 17, who have been spotted in New York City where the singer lives.
It was previously revealed that the Vogue hitmaker had been released from hospital after a few days, and was transported back to her New York home in a private ambulance.
A source told CNN: ‘She in the clear.’
There were initially serious concerns for the star’s health and her family are thought to have been fearing ‘the worst’.
A family friend of the musician revealed how her relatives ‘prepared for the worst’ following the horrific ordeal as ‘everybody believed that they may lose her.’
‘For the past couple of days, no one really knew which direction this was going to turn, and her family was preparing for the worst,’ they shared.
‘That is why it was kept a secret since Saturday. Everyone believed that we may lose her, and that has been the reality of the situation,’ they added to Mail Online.
The start of Madonna’s Celebration tour has now been delayed while the singer recuperates but it’s still unclear on when the shows will go ahead.
