Logic has admitted that his 2019 record Confessions of a Dangerous Mind was actually a “social experiment.”

The rapper, who recently came out of his short-lived retirement, took to Twitter to answer fan questions and one user inquired about whether or not a side B of the album actually exists. “No but the funny thing is people didn’t realize it was a satyrical social experiment lololol I win and to this day the numbers show it is my most popular album proving my point,” he answered. He continued, “Make a controversial album and people talk. I’ve never actually admitted this lol.”

Confessions of a Dangerous Mind debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 80,000 units earned in its first week, and by chart standards, his other records like 2022’s No Pressure, Everybody and YSIV all opened with at least twice the units. The album did, however, include the track “Homicide” featuring Eminem, which debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 to become his second top 10 entry.

Several Twitter users responded to Logic’s claim with disapproval, going as far as calling the act the “dumbest thing” they’ve seen today and “wildly pretentious.”

Logic is set to release his newest album Vinyl Days on June 17.
