Lyrical Lemonade‘s yellow room is the home to some of the most unexpected collaborations. Cole Bennett has brought together modern rap’s old guard and new guard on “Guitar In My Room,” which features Lil Durk and Kid Cudi, the yellow-tied collab we didn’t know we needed.

Bennett’s been vocal about “Guitar In My Room”‘s release on his Instagram page throughout the week, dropping off video previews and yellow-curtain teasers. “I told you the album was about bringing worlds together that you wouldn’t expect,” he commented.

Equipped with Lyrical Lemonade’s signature crisp production, the aptly named track is led by an electric guitar melody. Durk steps out onto the stage first, as Cudi vibes out in the background, and, another classic Lemonade cinematic choice, doubles of Durk drop in and out of the scene – with one actually playing the guitar. Durk handles the first verse, crooning “I’m in a room with my guitar, I’m tryna prove that I’m a star / But I hate when we keep distance ’cause it’s a difference with response / Keep it natural the first day, we gon’ watch Tubi in the car.”

Cudi takes the second verse, infusing his hypnotic hums throughout. “Hmm, who we are, tellin’ all your girlfriends that I’m your star / Caught you in a dream, I hit you with that sauce / If we aim at the moon, no, baby, we won’t fall.” Stream the music video above, and find “Guitar In My Room” out on streaming everywhere now.
