Mikael Kennedy has built a name for himself in the fashion industry by being the go-to contact for sourcing and crafting one-of-a-kind Persian rugs. And this season, he’s taking his craft back into the realm of footwear to generate a collection of limited-edition tactical boots that are all made from antique rugs woven in the late 1800s and early 1900s.

One of the most significant elements of this assemblage is that no two boots are identical in style. Some of the kicks come fashioned with rich burgundy backdrops and floral embroidery, others are fitted with darker palettes and come complemented with zig zag patterns and others are more understated in appearance as they are formulated with single-toned side panels and earthy toe boxes. Inside each boot is a luxe lambskin liner while a Vibram™ Bifida sole unit that provides both stability and traction for various types of terrain is situated down below.

The “rug dealer” has listed the full capsule on his website with each offering being priced at $1,1550 USD a piece. Only 100 pairs of men’s sizes 9-13 are available and you can view several of the styles in the gallery above.
