John Carpenter‘s Halloween (1978) is receiving its very first board game adaptation.
Helmed by Trick or Treat Studios, the board game is designed by Emerson Matsuuchi and Nathan Thomas Milliner and is billed as a “1 vs Many” game as one player must play the role of Michael Myers himself. Meanwhile, the other players will play the role of Jamie Lee Curtis’ Laurie Strode and her friends as they find weapons, kids and an escape path to safety away from Michael. The studio adds that the survivors will have a more difficult time gathering resources and finding a way out as The Shape can only been seen when players are looking right at him.
Trick or Treat Studios’ Halloween board game is available for pre-order now via the webstore with a price tag of approximately $60 USD, and will begin shipping on August 1.
Elsewhere in gaming, Fortnite is celebrating Star Wars Day with Anakin, Padmé, Clone Trooper and Darth Maul skins.
