J. Cole and his Dreamville entourage on Wednesday announced that the Dreamville Festival will officially return to Raleigh, North Carolina, on Saturday, April 1, and Sunday, April 2, 2023.
The festival, which was relaunched this year following a three-year hiatus, will again take over Raleigh’s Dorothea Dix Park with music performances from Cole’s favorite artists and collaborators. In the spring, the event hosted 80,000 total attendees from across the globe, with a bevy of activities, local vendors, food trucks and artisans from the greater Triangle area. Notably, this year’s iteration made more than a $6.7 million USD economic impact on the Raleigh and Wake County community.
“Dreamville Festival wants to keep growing and building off the success of the expanded two-day event this year. Our team is excited to reunite with our Dreamville family from around the world next spring,” said Dreamville Festival President Adam Roy in a statement. “Day ones, JID fans, Ari fans, music fans, everyone is welcome. Consider this your personal invite. Come through, you won’t want to miss Dreamville 2023.”
The “No Role Modelz” rapper first debuted his Dreamville Festival in 2018, with a lineup featuring SZA, Big Sean, Young Thug and several other chart-topping artists. However, the inaugural event was canceled due to Hurricane Florence, and the festival’s first iteration did not go forth until April of the following year. Dreamville Festival 2023 will mark the third edition of the event, as the 2020 festival was also canceled due to the COVID pandemic.
Dreamville, which was originally founded by Cole in 2007 as a record label, has evolved into a contemporary, multidisciplinary entertainment and media company that now houses Studios, Apparel, Impact and Festival divisions. Presently, Dreamville Records represents both well-known and emerging talent, including J. Cole, J.I.D., Ari Lennox, Bas, EarthGang, Cozz, Lute and Omen.
A special ticket pre-sale for the Dreamville Festival will soon be available to those who sign up for the official newsletter on the event’s website. Stay tuned for the festival’s official lineup and performance schedule.
