Holly Willoughby has been spotted getting into a helicopter and zooming for the Somerset hills en route to Glastonbury Festival.

Over 200,000 festival revellers and 2,000 performers are descending on Worthy Farm as the legendary festival kicked off for another year last night.

Tonight, headliners include – after much deliberation – the Arctic Monkeys, and rock n’ roll band Royal Blood, as well as Wizkid, Fred Again, Kelis, Hop Chip, andHozier.

While coverage will start on BBC2 and BBC iPlayer at 7.30 tonight for us sad folk at home, all the stars and lucky ticket holders get to enjoy the action all day today.

Of these, Holly Willoughby is apparently one, as she was spotted looking festival-chic and hopping into a helicopter to get to the festival for an afternoon of fun.

The star kept it comfortable with a fun striped jacket, a black hat, sunnies, denim shorts, and some boots for all that walking.

Her husband Daniel Baldwin was spotted with her, alongside another friend.

This comes as Holly has endured quite the dramatic few weeks, after Phillip Schofield admitted to having an affair with a younger colleague on the set of This Morning and ‘lying’ to everyone about it.

He later resigned from the show the duo had presented together for over ten years, and Holly went on to say in a statement she felt ‘shaken, troubled and let down’ while also thanking viewers for their support.

She said: ‘Hi there, good morning. Josie, thank you for being here. Right, deep breath. Firstly, are you ok? I hope so. It feels very strange indeed sitting here without Phil.

‘I imagine that you might have been feeling a lot like I have – shaken, troubled, let down, worried for the wellbeing of people on all sides of what’s been going on and full of questions.

‘You me and all of us at This Morning gave our love and support to someone who was not telling the truth, who acted in a way that they themselves felt that they had to resign from ITV and step down from a career that they loved. That is a lot to process, and it’s equally hard to see the toll that it’s taken on their own mental health.’

She went on to say she hoped for a ‘new chapter’ for the show.

In the shock tell-all, Phillip described his relationship with the younger colleague as ‘unwise but not illegal’.

He said: ‘The first thing I want to say is: I am deeply sorry for having lied to them, and to many others about a relationship that I had with someone working on This Morning. I did have a consensual on-off relationship with a younger male colleague at This Morning.

‘Contrary to speculation, whilst I met the man when he was a teenager and was asked to help him to get into television, it was only after he started to work on the show that it became more than just a friendship. That relationship was unwise, but not illegal. It is now over.’
