Havid Nagan — the brainchild of Aren Bazerkanian — has recently announced its introductory model the HN00 Titanium.
Putting close to three years in the case design, Bazerkanian describes the shape as “very architectural, reminiscent of neo-vintage cushion cases.” Much like the up-and-coming watch brand’s decree of being a paradox — contemporary on the outside but traditional to the extreme in terms of watchmaking process and movement — the watch looks to offer watch enthusiasts something often seen in the high-end independents category but at an attainable price.
This watch is for those who look to cancel out all the noise in watch collecting experienced in the last half-decade. Rather than looking at a watch as an asset class, Havid Nagan is about the watch and the collector, and not so much the clout or social status bartered for when buying a mainstream luxury watch.
The HN00 sits at 40.7 mm on the wrists and sees a beautiful stamped gradient guilloche dial that has a way of reflecting light depending on the angle. The dial is accented with an applied pinwheel-esque logo and indices with just two hands and no date wheel. Its curved caseback ensures comfort to the wearer and it also sees a display back that shows off one of the most impressive things about the watch — a Schwarz Etienne-sourced micro-rotor Calibre ASE 200.00 with an 86 hour power reserve. This movement has been further dressed up with gold lettering, Côtes de Genève finishing, and dark-gray coated.
Those interested in reserving one can head over to Havid Nagan where they are priced at $8,000 USD with an expected delivery date closer to late December. The Arka Blue version is limited to just 100 pieces.
