Harry Styles has made a surprise appearance in another artist’s new music video, but we bear-ly recognised him until the very end.
It appears the As It Was singer was in much of the footage in Jenny Lewis’ music video for her standalone single Puppy And A Truck, but he was in disguise.
Jenny, who is best known for being the former frontwoman for indie rock band Rilo Kiley, joined the 29-year-old ex-One Direction crooner for the North American leg of his Love On Tour dates – and we’ve just got a snapshot into their time together.
The music video appears to follow Jenny and her crew as she makes her way between cities to appear as a special guest at Harry’s shows.
It’s not clear Harry even features in the video for the most part, but instead we see a figure sporting a huge cartoon bear costume, which larked around on beaches, in shops, and on the road with the other travellers.
Except at the end of the music video, the bear can be seen backstage at one of the shows, and looking worn out, takes his head off only to reveal worldwide megastar Harry.
The big reveal suggested Harry had indeed been the bear all along.
Speaking about joining the Watermelon Sugar hitmaker on his epic tour, the singer-songwriter said: ‘To be on a giant stage in front of thousands of people after such a long period of isolation, those 45 minutes on stage and meeting Harry’s fans – it brought me back to life.
‘I was just trying to stay present and in the moment, so grateful to be able to share my life experiences, my songs, with such a diverse audience.
‘With no cynicism or irony, just gratitude to be with people and fans and to be able to express it outwardly to them.’
Jenny, 47, just added new US headline dates this July to her tour to jam-pack what is already a busy schedule for her this coming year.
Meanwhile, Harry has just touched down in Auckland, New Zealand, where TikTok sensations and Brit Award winners Wet Leg will be joining him on stage.
He then heads to Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea and Tokyo before touching down in Europe for a few dates in Denmark, after which he will be heading over to Germany.
The pop icon arrived in the UK on May 22 for a show in Coventry, then Edinburgh, before heading back to Europe and returning to London for four dates; June 13, 14, 16, 17.
This comes after Harry did a shoey on stage on one of his Australian dates, before he admitted he was ‘ashamed’ of partaking in the drinking tradition.
He said: ‘I feel like a different person. I feel ashamed of myself. It feels so personal. Such an intimate moment to be shared with so many people. I’ll be discussing this with my therapist at length.’
Let’s hope there’s more of that to come.
