Grand Seiko has added three new 44GS watches to its iconic Heritage Collection. All arriving in new midsize cases measuring 36.5mm in diameter, the three new references will also be exclusively available in the North American region.
Leading the trio of newly-iterated 44GS is the SBGW313 “Hanami” starring a blossom pink dial. Inspired by the Japanese traditional custom of the same name, the timepiece recreates the mood of cherry blossom viewing with a dial that captures its fleeting beauty.
Showcasing a muted green dial, the SBGW311 “Tsyu” derives its name and design from East Asia’s rainy season, which typically occurs between June to mid-July. Last but not least is the SBGW309, the third reference that goes by the name of “Juhyo“ references the arboreal scene of snow monsters that can be spotted on snow mountains in the Iwate Prefecture.
The aforementioned references are all housed in a stainless steel build, accompanied by a matching metal bracelet. Geared with 100 meters of water resistance, the watches run on the 9S64 caliber with a power reserve of up to 72 hours.
All priced at $5,900 USD, the “Juhyo” will only be available to members of the U.S. GS9 club at dedicated events and via the online boutique. Meanwhile “Hanami” and “Tsyu” will be officially released for everyone in the North American region later this month.
