Future has officially connected with Diddy’s son, Christian Combs aka King Combs on a sleek, new collaborative track, “Holdin Me Down”. This is the second track the Atlanta rapper dropped this weekend having also delivered “Hard for the Next” with Moneybagg Yo on the same night.
The song is produced by TrePounds, TM88, DY Krazy and 808 Mafia’s Southside with the release following Comb’s ’90s Baby mixtape and Cyncerely, C3 EP. The smooth track hears both artists shine a light on their love for the women in their lives, promising to remain with loyal through the good and the bad. Future sings in the chrous, “Stayin’ true, you my wifey/ You know I’ma have you icy / You ain’t gon’ find another one, can’t find nobody like me / Keepin’ it exclusive, don’t be caught up in these games/Don’t worry about these groupies, come with the money and fame.”
King Combs has also announced a merch collection in tandem with “Holdin Me Down.” The range of apparel is expected to be designed by OVO‘s head designer, Tyra Myricks, who was also at the helm of the song’s cover artwork. The official drop date has yet to be announced.
“Holdin Me Down” is available on all major music streaming platforms and via the YouTube video above. It is currently still unclear whether or not the track is part of a greater in-the-works project or an independent release.
