Ducati has officially revealed its new DesertX off-road motorcycle, a robust and stylish offering inspired by the Dakar Rally and Enduro motorcycles of the 80s, following a widespread positive response to its concept model in 2019.
The DesertX utilizes an all-new steel trellis chassis and is fitted with a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear rims with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tires. While Enduro and Rally modes are dedicated specifically to off-road riding, other modes are available for easy and comfortable riding during commutes. In comparison to the Multistrada 1260 Enduro which was Ducati’s previous staple off-road bike, the DesertX is $5000 USD cheaper and weighs 50 pounds less while sporting an upscale clean and modern aesthetic.
The Ducati DesertX starts at $16,795 USD, and can now be configured on the Ducati website. The bikes will arrive in dealerships beginning in June of 2022. Explore the new offering in the in-depth introductory video below.
