For the second chapter of the long-term collaboration between Disney and Givenchy, the duo has released a nostalgic limited-edition capsule collection inspired by Disney’s 1961 animated film, 101 Dalmatians. Following the release of the collection lookbook, Walt Disney Animation Studios releases a custom hand-drawn animation directed by renowned director and animator Eric Goldberg.
The short film is set at Givenchy on Avenue George V in Paris where Matthew M Williams and Kate Moss are accompanied by dalmatians Pongo, Perdita, and their family. The villain Cruella De Vil shows up but quickly flees after the dalmatian couple scares her off with protective growls.
“To have the opportunity to tell a story and create new animation with the characters from 101 Dalmatians, through the imaginative and playful lens of the House of Givenchy, was an absolute dream. It was a true delight to collaborate with such talented creators to bring these beloved characters back to life in such a unique way,” said Goldberg.
The Disney x Givenchy 101 Dalmatians collection is now available at the Givenchy website and retail locations. A dreamy lookbook cinematic with real dalmatians can be found below.
