First launched last year, the race car manufacturer Dallara continues its journey into the world of esports with the second installment of its virtual racing championship, powered by Lenovo. The competition is created in partnership with the informatics group, Ak as well as its sub-brand Tech&Sym — specializing in the development of services and hardware for the simulation experience.
The 2021 championship consists of four qualification events, in which winners will be invited to the final at the Motor Valley Fest weekend. The participants will compete on simulations of four iconic Italian circuits: Imola, Vallelunga, Misano and Mugello. Eight pilots from the hot-lap online qualification will then challenge two pilots from the on-site contest at driving stations set up inside the Dallara Academy.
The grand finale will pit two winners head-to-head in a virtual rendition of Italy’s renowned Varano circuit. Recreated for the digital experience, the iconic Dallara Stradale is this year’s main attraction — raced through the simulator Assetto Corsa created by Kunos simulations.
All races from the championship will be streamed via social media with the winner gaining access to a track day with a real-life Dallara Stradale as well as a guided tour of the company’s HQ. To participate in this year’s Dallara Esports Championship you can register through the dedicated website.
The Motor Valley Fest is set to take place from July 1 – July 4 in Modena, Italy. In partnership with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Italian Trade Agency and the Emilia-Romagna Region, aiming to promote the best businesses the country has to offer showcasing some of the most desired vehicles from the industry — you can find more information on the event through its website.
