Bulova is paying tribute to its ’70s Oceanographer by bringing back one of its most beloved seafaring timepieces: the Devil Diver.
Earning its title due to its iconic 666-feet water resistance marking, the Devil Diver is now back in its original 41mm form, paired robustly with a stainless steel screw-back case, a screw-down crown, and two-toned unidirectional dive bezel.
Sitting underneath the anti-reflective coated box sapphire crystal is a vibrant orange dial carrying a three-hand configuration with round indexes, all of which are lumed to provide greater legibility in darker conditions.
Power comes from a self-winding mechanical movement with a power reserve of 42 hours, offering a date indicator at 3 o’clock for added functionality. The watch is then completed with a seaworthy black rubber strap utilizing a three-piece buckle enclosure.
For those interested, Bulova’s reissued 41mm Oceanographer Devil Diver will arrive over on its website in spring for £470 GBP (approx. $650 USD).
In other thing watches, Grand Seiko has introduced its new Shirakaba dial.
