Following a partnership with Bandai Namco and news of an upcoming song with Snoop Dogg, BTS, the world’s most successful boy band out of South Korea, has revealed a new apparel collaboration with the MLB and New Era.
The upcoming capsule consists of a series of T-shirts, bucket hats, and 9FORTY baseball caps which cleverly merge motifs from BTS’s favorite hits, “Butter,” “Dynamite,” and “Black Swan,” with three logos of MLB’s most recognizable teams — Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees, and Boston Red Sox. Standout pieces include the Boston Red Sox tee featuring a melted “B” logo and sleeve embroidery as a nod toward BTS’s “Butter” disco-pop single, and a light blue Coolera-lined Yankees cap featuring black ink scribbles beneath the “NY” logo.
The upcoming BTS x MLB x New Era collection will be available on the New Era Japan website and select retailers on May 13. Prices range from ¥4,730 to ¥6,600 JPY (approximately $36 to $50 USD).
