Silverstone has proven itself to be a celebrity hotspot – and now Brad Pitt has only gone and shown up!
The actor, 59, was seen chatting to fellow movie star Damon Idris, 31, on the grid today before the British Formula One Grand Prix race.
Sporting his own official racing suit, the US star blended in perfectly.
It comes after production of Brad and Lewis Hamilton’s F1 movie got off the mark, with filming said to be taking place in the thick of the action.
In the currently untitled movie, the Fight Club and Ocean’s 11 star – whose character is called Sonny Hayes – will drive for a fictional racing team called Apex.
While details of the plot remain unknown, Babylon star Brad is understood to be playing a veteran F1 driver who comes out of retirement to mentor a young talent and take a last stab at glory as his teammate.
Of course, this is Brad Pitt, so we’re talking budget.
Therefore, to ensure ultimate realism, a garage has been constructed for the team at Silverstone’s racecourse.
Brad also has his own snazzy racecar that we can imagine made producer and racing champ Lewis rather envious.
Directed by Joseph Kosinski, the project continues filming for the rest of 2023’s F1 season.
Meanwhile, Snowfall actor Damson will star opposite Brad.
Idris broke onto the scene with his acclaimed role in the FX series, and he was also recently seen in Amazon’s Swarm.
